I hope I wasn't reading it wrong. Were they implying it was a "limited run" as in # of copies produced? Or were they just stating the pre-sell time was shortened?

I think only the pre-sell time has been shortened, not really the number of copies. Or at least, not from an official perspective. My guess is that there are varying degrees of a "full" run, based on anticipated response. And, sadly, I have to think that they aren't anticipating a huge run on the market when they hit the shelves. (Though what we lack in numbers we will certainly make up for in enthusiasm!)

I for one certainly agree with that point!! Once Amazon.ca list the DVDs I shall be buying two sets - one to watch now and one to put away as a back up set. That's the plan anyway!!!!!

Is anyone else besides me getting worried about this? I mean, its 14 days away, and nobody is pre-selling it?

I'm doing the same thing, Shane, and we're probably not the only ones! I've got my fingers crossed and I'm keeping good thoughts. We've waited so long, but jeez, this last month has seemed interminable, and we've still got another two weeks to slog through.

Hi Guys, I have been doing the same thing checking amazon.ca everyday. I have a feeling it won't show up to order till the weekend prior to it's release. The harccastle listing on amazon.com has been there since last year as i have had my email in there since then to be notified. But it's not gonna be for sale on regular amazon site anyhow. I still don't understand the canada only release, but i am just happy to be able to buy it at all that it doesn't bother me much. Less than 2-Weeks till we have this badboy in our hands!!

You really think the weekend prior before we see any ordering capability? Sheesh. That's seriously not much of a lead time. I was hoping for at least by the 7th; that'd give 'em a whole week to process pre-orders. I've personally never pre-ordered a DVD online, but I know folks who have, and they typically receive them either on the release date or one day after. If Amazon doesn't set up ordering until the 10th or so, it seems unlikely that we'd be able to get them so quickly. (Not that I would gripe too much about an extra few days wait after this length of time, but I'd gripe some!)

My previous experience with Amazon, though, is once you've put yourself in as interested in a particular DVD, they'll notify you for further offerings (new seasons, etc.) and even somewhat related things. They're pretty darn relentless that way, so we should all be in the loop from now on.

Yea but they don't crossover so because we put our emails in amazon usa site. They are not going to notify us if hardcastle is available on Amazon.CA

Hmmm. My guess is you're right, but never underestimate a company's desire to make money. Maybe if we emailed Amazon US about it, they'd get the notion we're eager to give them our money and make sure we're notified about the Canadian release. By the way, my other half is going to try to put a link here through our owlcroft site to Amazon Canada so you can just click from here once the DVDs are out. Maybe sometime this week-end. If that's okay with the moderator?

I'm thinking this VEI company is still new to the game (DVD releases) and still doesn't have their act together (IMO).
