Thanks for asking -- I believe we've got just over $8,000. Obviously, that's not quite enough, but it's been less than ten months, so we're hopeful that the donations will keep on flowing. On the other hand, if anyone out there happens to get a winning lottery ticket, please think of us!

On the other hand, if anyone out there happens to get a winning lottery ticket, please think of us! Yep, $8152.95, to be exact, so a giant THANK YOU to all our contributors. And, for the benefit of our newer members who might not know what we're talking about, I'll say that we're trying to get a star for Brian Keith on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Drop in to our website to get all the details. www.starforbrian.comAnd, for specific information about how you can help, including our new Buck for Brian campaign, visit our fundraising page, at www.starforbrian.com/fundraising.htmlAnd, yes, as Owl said, thanks for asking.

We did it!! Brian Keith will get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Here's the official Walk of Fame website, if you want to take a look: www.hollywoodchamber.net/icons/walk_fame.aspWe're still raising the fee (which looks as though it will be the new $25,000) and would welcome any and all help, not just donations but fundraising and publicity ideas and just plain encouragement from all of you. After all, this is _your_ star. We hope very much to see a whole bunch of you in Hollywood next year at the installation of Brian Keith's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!!

Well this is really great news, you all did such a great job, you should all be very proud. I do hope you will find another reason to continue writing the CD Zines. I have enjoyed reading everyone of them over and over again.
I know Brian is looking down with a big smile right now.

Well this is really great news, you all did such a great job, you should all be very proud. I do hope you will find another reason to continue writing the CD Zines. I have enjoyed reading everyone of them over and over again. I know Brian is looking down with a big smile right now. Well, like Owl says, we still have fundraising to do, so there will definitely be a zine volume 4, and potentially beyond. And, speaking of fundraising, let me ask you guys to pass along a couple of ideas to as many people as you possibly can. First, Buck for Brian. If anyone and everyone who's ever enjoyed a movie or a television show BK has been in would donate a single dollar, our fundraising problems would be over. So, here's a direct link to paypal to contribute that single Buck: tinyurl.com/2jmpv7Second, between now and July 31st, anyone who has never ordered groceries from Amazon.com and places an order through our affiliate link earns the fund a $3 bonus for the order. And, of course, we always get a small percentage of any order placed through our site. We've placed a new link directly to the grocery category on the site, so you can browse around the non-perishables; you can find it on our affiliate page here: www.starforbrian.com/affiliateshop.html. Like I said, the key is to pass along this information. Share these links with everyone you know; encourage them to make a $1 donation or place an order through our Amazon link if they need any groceries. It'll all add up, and we appreciate all of your help. Thanks.

Great news about the star. For all you people who haven't bought the CD 'zines I recommend you do so as there are some great stories on them. Many thanks to the authors for all their hard work. Also the scripts are well worth subscribing to.

Another announcemen, but only semi-official this time. We've heard that the star will be placed in front of the Disney-owned theater, El Capitan, at 6838 Hollywood Boulevard. Wonderfully appropriate and we hope to see you all there next June!

A little more hotel info -- Those of you who're attending the ceremony in June and are staying at the Days Inn might want to know that you need to book soon to be sure of getting a room. They need a charge card number, but you will not be billed until you check out. The phone number there is (323) 464-8344 and you just need to mention that you're part of the STAR for Brian Keith group. They're trying to put us all in the same area of the hotel, which is nice. The shuttle that runs between the hotel and the airports is the Supershuttle and their website is: www.supershuttle.com/default.aspx?content=HowItWorksThe very nice desk clerk at the hotel told me the current rate is $19 per person from LAX to the hotel (and presumably the other way 'round). You should probably make a reservation for the shuttle ahead of time, too. Their phone number is on the site, but I'll list it here just to save time: 1-800-BLUEVAN. Hope this helps!

Woo-hoo! I got my reservations for the room and the shuttle. Thanks for the helpful link. I was worried about getting to the hotel from LAX. With my luck, I'd get a taxi driver who would try to take me to Hollywood by way of San Diego.... By the way, I'm curious....is Brian Keith's Star being awarded for "film" or "TV"? I was checking out the Walk of Fame website, and started wondering since he had an extensive career in both.

Yay, glad to hear you're all booked! We thought about films versus television for quite a while. The man did 66 movies and starred or co-starred in 9 series. Finally, given the current DVD releases of "Family Affair" and "Hardcastle and McCormick", we went for television, figuring that might be a bit easier with the PR we'd get from the DVD sales.
(No, we're not planning to go back and do it all again for a second star for films, although he certainly deserves it.)

It is now confirmed that Brian's star will be located at 7021 Hollywood Boulevard. The Chamber was very nice in allocating this spot, since we'd asked that Brian's star be near Walt Disney's and that's at the same address.
We look forward to seeing many of you there, and I know the rest will be there in spirit!
