Okay, several folks (myself included) have said we needed to separate out these folks for voting purposes, so let's find out who rules the supporting character roost.

All registered members are capable of creating polls. If anyone has trouble doing so, please let me know.

But we probably should have a guest character poll, as well. Maybe a bad guy poll, too. (I vote Weed.)
Then there's characters like May and Zora, who managed to seem like they were around, even though they only appeared in one episode. And guest stars who appeared more than one episode, but never as the same character.

Well, gosh, that would be a lot of characters; how would you ever narrow it down? Though I had almost listed Charlie Friedman before realizing he only shows up repeatedly in the fic. And, I forgot Bill Giles, but if there's a way to modify that poll, I haven't found it. If anybody wants to vote for him, he'll have to be a write-in.

Well, we'd have to subdivide the one-time characters. Bad guys is only a start. Then we've got humerous characters, old girlfriends, mobsters the judge is acquainted with, people he went to school with . . . the list goes on ;-)

Here's some sub categories from me:
Best relative(s): May and Zora Most annoying relative: Warren Wingate (sorry, I actually didn't mind Gerald or DD or Sonny) Most interesting friend: Teddy Hollins Most likable bad guy: Arthur Farnell Most psychotic bad guy: Weed Randall (only slightly more than the nature guy played by same actor) Most lovable character: Mimi La Grand best love interest: Kathy Kasternack worst love interest: Tina Gray (or really, anyone other than Kathy) most annoying good guy: Sandy Knight
I could go on, but you get the idea. Any others you can think of? Karie

Any others you can think of? Karie I think I agree with most of these. Most likable bad guy I might give to Joe Cadillac, even as much as I like Farnell. And worst love interest I think I'd give to Melinda Marshall, even though she wasn't technically a love interest on-screen. I'm still pondering the most lovable character, and the most annoying good guy. (Though Sandy may be really hard to beat there.)

Oh, give us some time here. I, for one, would put Kiki as worst love interest (we'll get into that when the ep airs in a few weeks). A hint to you all: be on vacation that week and don't check into the board. Let me think about the others, though I think I have to agree with Joe Cadillac especially after L.M.'s most recent story. Joe shows up at the door. "You lost your boy," he says. It makes my heart clinch every time I read it.

Girlfriends best to worst:
Kathy Barbara (well, she was a girl, and a friend, maybe not a girlfriend) Christy Mattie Groves (sure, why the heck not?) *** (big gap here) The girl who thought Journey was 'the last word in modern music' Vonna Westerlake (never seen but much talked about) The drunken twit from 'Poker Night' Tina Gray Kiki Melinda Marshall
I'm sure I've left somebody out.

Oh, the one from the episode about comedians (so bad I've forgotten her name). She ties with Tina Gray.

How about the one in "Long Ago Girl" who was um, . . . visiting, yeah, _visiting_ in the Gatehouse. (Look, sitting on someone's lap counts as a visit, right?) I liked her because she looks like she's about 5' tall. And she handled the occasion with aplomb.

What, we give her extra points because she's short? Now, Owl, is that really fair? Okay, we'll call her the Study Buddy and put her where the three asterisks are, how 'bout that?

Girlfriends best to worst: Kathy Barbara (well, she was a girl, and a friend, maybe not a girlfriend) Christy Mattie Groves (sure, why the heck not?) *** (big gap here) I'd probably say Kathy, Christy, Mattie, Barbara. Though, to be fair, I always thought there was way more to Barb than we ever got to see of her. And, I always thought it woulda been pretty amusing if just once Mark took Mattie out on a date, just to see HC's reaction. Hey, come to think of it, maybe that could be the first April Fool's tale. I'm pretty sure Mattie would go along with trying to flabbergast Milt.

Yes, a Mattie and Mark 'date', I can so see this. And what a great excuse to watch Poker Night again. Oh, this has got such potential. Okay, you want it, or should I?

If it tickles your fancy, you feel free. For myself, I absolutely refuse to be sidetracked by anything else until I finish the danged thing I'm working on now. (Though at the rate that's going, it may be April Fool's before it's done!)
