Cast you vote: What other SJC (Stephen J Cannell) show would you liked to have seen in a "crossover" episode with Hardcastle and McCormick?
I personally would liked to have seen a GAH/H&M crossover. It would have been cool to see Bill & Ralph interact with Mark & Milt!

Gotta be Rockford for me... much as I love GAH, I'd pay good money to see the Garner and Keith combo pack.

Oh, can you picture the car chase with that gold Rockford car (Camaro?) and the Coyote? The good citizens of Los Angeles would be traumatized for days.

The chase between the Camaro & the Coyote somehow threw a vision of the A-team van in my head. (I guess the word traumatized did it!) At any rate, can you see Hardcastle paired with Mr. T? ??

Can I cheat in this department and say ADAM-12? SJC was story editor & writer for the show. Does that count? I'd like to see Reed and Malloy under Frank Harper's command! (No disrespect to Sgt. Mac intended!)

Oh, I have to vote Rockford. Forget the amazing car chases, we'd get to see a scene with Frank and Dennis!
And, besides, I bet Mark and Jim would have an awful lot of notes to compare.

Oh, good thinking! And can't you picture the scene in the den, where Frank and Dennis are marvelling at each other, and Mark and Jimbo are swapping "innocent man in prison" stories -- the judge would be left out completely!

I LOVE it! -BTW, Jimbo has been around the guys in spirit. The scene in "Goin' Nowhere Fast," where J.J. drives the vette into the ocean, was filmed at Paradise Cove (The resting place for Rockford's Trailer.) - Just up the PCH from Gulls Way. They're practically neighbors (by a mile or two). ;D

Yeah, but not if Rocky was around. Then everyone would have a friend. The ex-cons would wax philosophical on life's injustices; the cops would roll their eyes just a little bit at always having to smooth things over for their civilian friends; and the old guys would sit around and wonder just what is wrong with today's youth. Dang. Why didn't SJC ever think of this?

Oh, that's _perfect_. Why _didn't_ SJC think of it! And now it's too late. Oh, but there's fanfic, where anything's possible! Please, Cheri, consider it!

It's really tough for me. Now granted I haven't seen "Riptide", but I don't know if the atmosphere of "H&McC" would've quite fit in with some of these shows, and vice versa. Especially consider the style change "H&McC" from Seasons 1 to 3.
I think had the show stayed like it was in Season 1 it'd fit more in with "The A-Team". However I think had the show been like it was in Season 3, it would fit more in with "Hunter".

I picked "Hardcastle & McCormick" to have a crossover with the "A-Team" because that was the one I could best put it with. "Greatest American Hero" seemed much too silly and had too much fantasy to be with H&M. And I have never seen an episode of "Rockford Files" nor "Hunter."
I figured that H&M and A-Team did sorta have things in common. Mark McCormick was a former crook having to clean up his act doing stuff for the judge. Hannibal, Face, and B.A. were former prisoners-of-war on the run from the military and doing good things to help out innocent people along the way. So I could picture an adventure where the guys ended up meeting eachother. Milton Hardcastle and John "Hannibal" Smith would have made excellent friends. McCormick and Face could have been excellent partners. All I can say about B.A. and Murdoch is that they would have gotten on everybody's nerves.

Frankly I don't see the attraction to the A-Team, but a Rockford crossover...now that's got possibilities!
Frank meets Dennis...now that's a side-splitter!

I would have loved to see an episode with the three guys from Riptide. Imagine the Judge or Mark sitting in the Screaming Mimmi! Somehow, those two shows match the best, I think. Although it was not written by Cannell, MacGyver might have been fun, too. Hardcastle, Skid and Mac going after Murdoc....

I could only picture the Season 1 MacGyver with Hardcase and Skid.
