Hey Colin, Firstly, I'm 35 and I love the A Team!!! My favorite 80's shows: Macgyver (go figure), A Team, Simon and Simon, Quantum Leap, Dukes of Hazzard (a little chagrined about that one), Scarecrow and Mrs. King (He called me "Mrs. King" one time... Amy drew on the bow tie in her mind)
Recent: House, Stargate SG-1 (Seasons 1-8 WITH RDA), Battlestar Galactica, Stargate Atlantis.
That's me.....

Hey mac's girl, So much in common. Love all the same shows, except I never really saw much of Quantum Leap. and I don't have the Sci-Fi channel so no BG and SG-A . And I might add Remington Steele and Magnum PI to that list. But MacGyver and SG-1, yeah big time. The dvd's are all right here. Love comparing RDA in MacGyver to Jack O'Neill.

i have multiple DVD's of The dukes of hazzard (S1-S4, S5 is out but im not crazy about the coy and vance eps) Knight Rider (S1-S3, S4 comes out in april) 21 jump street (grew up on this show as well, i have S1-S4 of it, may or may not get S5, i didnt care much for the syndicated eps with half the cast gone, kind of like the C&V eps of dukes)
and i have 1 season (season 2) of Quantum leap
most if not all of your old shows were originally taped in mono anyway...
the only mid 80s tv show i can ever recall having stereo was knight rider, and that wasnt until season 4, which was the fall of 1986..
come to think of it, miami vice might have gone stereo later in its run as well

I think maybe me and three other people watched it. RDA was a 19th century dime-novelist and it co-starred John de Lancie ('Q' from STNG) as a crazy inventor modeled on Tesla. Best part of it was the technical challenge of not making the lead look short when standing next to de Lancie (and everybody looks short next to him).

Nicodemus Legend. The MacGyver of the Old West. I think that big mustache did him in. LOL. What about Emerald Point? Okay, I better get over to that "other tops, other shows board before I get in trouble...

Welcome, indeed! I've watched almost all of your faves except "CSI" and "Law and Order" -- they're too new for me to have seen. Glad to have you aboard; now settle in, watch the DVDs and post often!

Thanks guys' I was a real big fan of the show when it was on. I was surprised when I saw it released on DVD. The monkee wrench was the it was released only in Canada. No biggy I made my order I recieved it last week. I'm watching it slowly I'm up to disk 3 now. The good thing is I really don't remeber any of the episoids because its been such a long time. It feels like I'm seeing them for the 1st time.

I was hooked on THE CHAMPIONS. I was thrilled to see that it is out on DVD in Britain, but sad that Canada doesn't seem to have it. Region 2...boo!!

Back in the 80ies, I guess my favorite shows must have been Hardcastle & McCormick, Stingray, Riptide, Fall Guy and MacGyver (although that wasn't SJC), in no specific order.
Just one thing concerning the region-codes: almost every DVD player (excluding PC drives) can be set to region "0", the multi-region format. Try and search for your player's name + code-free on google.
