For anyone who would like to see him, he is supposed to appear on Friday, Aug. 17th. And the background is that he is the father (widower) of this kid called Noah, who is about to have a gay relationship. DHK is in the Army (he's a Major - career guy) and he's already told his kid he can't go to Northwestern University because he thinks he should join the Army instead. The kid has been working as an Intern at a TV station for the summer and wants to be a filmmaker. DHK is now being listed as a recurring character.

I'm wondering if that's Danny's choice or the producers. I hope that at least we can see more than just 1 or 2 scenes at a time. He was on a week ago in just one scene without notice.
I also hope that he gets some meaty scenes to show off his talent instead of "hey kid, you can't go to northwestern. You're going to the army to be a "Man"". Ugh. Just hating this character right now. I hope they make him likeable.
Now that we know that Danny's character is a widower, we can hope he gets hooked up with one of the single women up there in Oakdale.

Okay, now I'm definately loving his character as "Winston" on ATWT.
He's playing a more meatier character where he's killed a hooker who was once his wife and chased her out of town away from their son, who happens to be gay.
If you watched it Thursday, I would have to say that Danny gave us an incredible performance, well worth the wait, and can't wait to see more.
I'm enjoying "Dark Mark" type Danny performance. It's edgy and he plays it off well.

I'm totally LOVING him on there as well. I mean, I'd love to see him playing a nice guy, but I sure can see the allure to an actor really relishing being an evil SOB...and he is really starting to shine. A couple of weeks back, he had an excellent scene with the guy who plays Henry..in the diner...and you could see the touches of his 'psychotic' nature beginning to show. And the whole heavy breathing/sadistic thing he was doing with Dusty in the trunk of the car was totally awesome. THE DUDE DEFINITELY NEEDS HIS OWN SHOW, CUZ HE CAN FLAT OUT ACT!

I was so mezmorized by the performance during his scene with Dusty as he was pointing the gun at him and confessing to Dusty how he murdered Cheri, and the emotion on his face while telling it. He's definately the most seasoned actor on that show right now.
It's nice to read in Soap Opera Digest about how he doesn't find himself to be taking a step down by doing soaps. He seems very down to earth and quite humbled.
I also read somewhere that he has a big project in California coming up. I guess he's waiting for his time to end on ATWT before he moves on.

Yeah, he did a great job with Dusty and even with Lilly. I loved when he said to her. 'I'm your son's worst nightmare." DANG, I'd hate to be Luke next week, he might be joining Dusty in the trunk. I have to agree with a lot of people in regards to ATWT....they do a huge diservice by not letting the older folks have a story line. I know they want to draw in the younger viewers, but when Lucinda is on, or Lisa or Barbara or Craig...hec, even Kim and Bob, they really command your viewership...same with Danny. That being said, I liked his interview too and actually what suprised me was his willingness to work with the kids, and his complimenting of their skills (especially the chick who plays Maddie...she is el-stinko in my book)....but I thought it was nice of him to applaud their abilities. I feel however, that it's his ability that brings their skills up a notch....especially the kid who plays Noah. He can be rather lackluster in a lot of scenes, but he's always seemed to step up to the plate a little more when DHK is opposite him.
Let me know if you find out what he's doing in California....and how'd you hear about that anyway...do you know him or something?

if only I did.
No, I read it on the message boards. Not sure where they got their information from. But I read from 3 separate posts that he did an audition for a big project in LA, but that's all I know.
In one of the posts they wrote that Danny, himself said that he'd thought that his role on ATWT wouldn't last more than 1 month because of his other commitment.
That's all I can tell you for now.

Hmm, didn't see that one, but I saw one that said his role on ATWT was being extended. I can't see him on for much longer though, I have a feeling he'll either be killed or caught very soon, but boy would I sure like to know what his project is. I suppose he's been taking it easy over the past few years to spend time with his family...with his son being in high school..but it'll be good to see him doing stuff again.

I think maybe that was the reason he stayed away too.
Now that his son is in college it's giving him more time to work on his career.
As for the role on ATWT, I get the feeling that he'll be hauled off to some mental institute where he'll serve his sentence for a long time.
this would at least leave the opportunity open to bring him back in case his work in LA doesn't pan out.
Skid, are you going to the Star for Brian ceremony next year? Owl mentioned that DHK may show up.

I'd really like to go, but financially it's just not in the cards for me. It would really be a gas to see him though. Are you?
And I'm sure that DHK will be around for a nice long while and we'll get to see him in one thing or another.

I am going and it'll be my first trip to LA.
Can't wait to meet everyone and hopefully will get to see a lot of the sites while I'm there.

I'm going to get a new video camera to film the ceremony and a new digital camera.
I plan to make copies for those who want a keepsake.
I'll be glad to provide you with a copy.

I have to tell you, I too would love to go and see everything and meet some of the wonderful people from this forum. But it is not in the cards for me either. I would pay a nice amount to see the video of the ceremony, it would be great to see DHK coming to honor BK.
