Dear Friends and kind supporters of the quest for Brian Keith's Star,
The long wait is over. Through your tireless efforts the goal has been reached. Your amazing generosity, the donation of your time and resources, and your indefatigable spirit, have been a true honor to his memory.
"To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die."
We hope to see each and every one of you at the dedication in June. If you can't be there in person, you will most certainly be there in our grateful thoughts.
Many thanks from all of us,
The S.T.A.R. for Brian Keith Committee

Brian had such an extensive career that expanded way beyond "Hardcastle", and I'm happy to see He's finally getting the recognition he deserves! I know he's smiling down on all of you right now. I also wanted to share the following with you. In case some of you may not have know, Brian served in the Marines during World War II. While looking up my father in the WWII memorial registry, It dawned on me that Brian should be listed as well. Here it is:

Yes, everyone who served should be honored; thank you so much for sharing that with us.
And I know you share our gladness and relief that we've _done_ it! Thanks again to all of you for your support and help and encouragement.

Thanks a bunch for sharing the entry honoring BK's Marine service--and a cheer to your dad, too. I've said this before--courage and sacrifice were the order of the day. It's good to see those guys receive accolades.
There is a book titled 'Stars in the Corps' (authored by James Wise and Anne Collier Rehill) that gives more details on Brian Keith's and other movie actors' service in the Marines.

We've now got the address of Brian's star confirmed. It will be installed at 7021 Hollywood Boulevard, a prime loaction and right next to Walt Disney's star, which was our fallback preference after the El Capitan site became unavailable. You can see exactly where that is by going here: www.seeing-stars.com/Museums/HollywoodEntertainment.shtmlThe museum is no longer there, but the photo shows the stars set in the sidewalk. Many thanks to the Chamber of Commerce for working with us on Brian's star and getting such a prime site for it.

Nice work with the logistics! I checked out Google Earth...the Days Inn, The Grill (reception), and the star location, are all in close proximity of one another. Well done!
