I found an Ertl diecast car at a thrift store tat says "Steven J. Cannell" on the underside. What TV series is this from? I just can't figure it out.

I looked online at a lot of pictures of Ertl blue convertibles, but I don't see any with that distinctive curved rear end. Are there any identification markings on it at all?

Not really. It's pretty ordinary-looking. It is dated 1984, so the show, whatever it is, must have premiered before then.
I even tried searching Ertl for every show listed in Steven J. Cannell's IMDB bio, but came up with nothing.

Remember this diecast car I posted? Could it be a Riptide convertible painted over in blue? I didn't watch Riptide, but didn't it have a classic red-and-white car? I found some pictures online, and it looks the same to this non-car gal.
Also, the interior of my car is spattered in blue, s if painted sloppily. Which I thought was unusual for the Ertl company.
Any thoughts or opinions?
