I have a couple of questions about the "Supervising Producer" credit in the opening titles of "Hardcastle":
1. First, just as the title sequence ended, there was a credit reading "Supervising Producer Jo Swerling, Jr.," and IIRC, this was set against a shot of the road surface as the Coyote passed, and gave way to producer credits for Pat Hasburgh and Les Sheldon. What I would like to know is why Jo's S.P. credit was shown and held against a shot of the approaching Coyote until just before or after the Coyote passed.
2. Secondly, I noticed on the back side of the box of the #1 DVD release that Les Sheldon was credited as supervising producer, which was different from the way it was shown and credited in the title sequence. Why is that?

Don't know why the title sequence shows up like that, unless it has something to do with the pilot. I think the producers were a little different when the pilot was filmed and more were added once the network approved the show. Jo Swerling has always worked with Stephen Cannell, but Les Sheldon was hired away from another show to work on HC&McC. It might be that his job title changed afterward, or it might be that he moved into a different job after a bit. I know there were some personnel changes and he might've just started doing a job that needed a lot of experience and they changed his job description retroactively.
Les selected actors at times, directed a couple of episodes, was on the set more. The Executive Producers were dealing with network suits, scheduling issues, overview type of things instead. At least, that's my memory of how it breaks down.
Anyone else?
