Right after the series was cancelled it turned up exclusively on the CBN cable network. That channel eventually changed its name to The Family Channel, and now ABC Family. Anyway....for whatever bizarre reason right after starting to air they began to use Back to Back for the credits for ALL the episodes. A bit jarring to say the least when watching first season shows. Eventually they went back to using the correct credits for each of the seasons. Maybe someone thought Back to Back was more "pure" for the Christian Broadcasting Network than Drive....LOL.
The show was butchered a bit for time, and all d**ns and hells were taken out. Surprisingly it seemed NONE of the violence was removed. I guess the powers that be thought it was okay for the judge or McCormick to punch a guy in the face, but saying hell was a no-no. At least according to my memory no violence was removed, I haven't watched those episodes in years. I had recorded the original run from ABC, then recorded the CBN broadcasts too. Back up copies for when my ABC episodes would bite the dust in future years was my thought at the time.

I think you're right about that. Shooting people, fistfights, car wrecks -- not a problem. But they deleted the very end of "Faster heart" when Kiki shows up wearing nothing but McCormick's shirt after having spent the night. I am so glad we got the complete versions later!
