I received a Google alert this morning with a link to this blog: weblogs.variety.com/thompsononhollywood/2008/06/westerner-star.htmlIt's a little commentary about Brian's star and his career with the focus being "The Westerner". The blog's author, Anne Thompson, says: Well, loyal fans of the late actor, who died in 1997, have raised some $30,000 (or whatever it costs) to land Keith a star on the Hollywood Boulevard Walk of Fame on June 26. It's well-deserved, and among the rare stars to be totally fan supported. No corporations or studios were involved; contributions came from around the world: Zaire, Canada, Egypt, Australia, Germany, and Scotland. The "or whatever it costs" kind of irked me, but does point out that the effort was 100% fan supported. If you have the time, check it out and leave a response....I did!

Thanks for the head's-up! That was a beautiful response you added, and I know we all appreciate it.
It happens that the editor who "commissioned" the post is a real Brian Keith fan and he's going to be at the ceremony, so we'll all get a chance to meet him and say thanks for the notice.

Hi there, I'm new to this board and I'm really happy to see Brian will get his Walk of Fame star, finally. I belong to the people who cannot join the ceremony, but I'm sure it will be a beautiful time. I will think of him. He was such great guy and love him as Hardcase. ;D
