Hah! Now that makes sense. I never watched "A-Team", but I can easily see that it was meant to be over-the-top and humorous. (I mean, just _look_ at Mr. T). George Peppard was a fine actor, but I think he was best at comedy, so this all comes together now. Maybe I should've checked it out.

I'm not saying Cannell didn't have some stinkers in his catalog ("Silk Stalkings" anyone?), but "The A-Team" was certaintly not one of them, not even close.
Probably his best overall written show period, was "The Commish" (which actually featured a guest-appearence by our Brian Keith)!

Never could get into Silk Stalkings, but just started watching the A-Team again and forgot how much fun it was to watch. My kids 7 and 4 love it as well. When they get their rock before going to bed they like to watch the A-Team. They are really liking Hardcastle and McCormick as well now.

Silk Stalkings isn't that bad....you just need to get beyond all the stupid 'crimes of passion'....the characters of Chris and Rita are among some of my favorites of all time....they really had a great relationship going...however, like most TV shows (H&M not included) they did the WRONG thing and killed off a character, only to have the other leave two shows later...when they could have easily just written them both off into the sunset!
