Was wondering whether there are many U.K based fans here on this forum. What are you initial memories of the show and why did it stay with you all these years considering the U.K only ever got the first season shown on ITV with no airing of seasons 2 & 3 or even repeats or season 1.
I've swapped a few posts with ajk who I know is U.K based but are there any others on board?

OK, I'm UK based (now), but originally I saw the series in Germany back in the 80s. They showed all three seasons at least twice that I can remember, and actually they are showing them now again on a Pay-TV channel. But, of course, they were synchronized, so I had to wait for the DVDs to watch them in English. And it was worth waiting for them! Why did it stay with me all the time? Well, there were quite some similarities to my own life, and although I know it is only a TV show, I would have loved the idea of having somebody around like the Judge to help me get along. Does that make any sense? Anyway, I'm glad there are other 'Europeans' around; it is really boring to wait for everybody else to get up in their time zone :-)

Hi. Yes I live in the UK. I remember watching this one summer when I was home from college. There were a lot of changes in my life at the time and H&McC cheered me up. I managed to keep one episode on video so I could get a fix of it now and again! It's really great to be able to see the rest of it. Roll on season 3!!
