And, on the subject of being 'jostled out of car'--am I the only one who cringes every time a car flips over and the occupant is dragged out and arrested? Not a cervical collar in sight. I've always imagined there's an action show bad guy quadraplegic ward somewhere. Yeah, I know, in the midst of cars doing flips off ramps, that's a minor point to get all realistic on, but it's just one of those things for me.

you think thats bad, go find knight rider season 1, and watch the very end of "trust doesnt rust" when KARR goes off the cliff, now go rent "The Car" and watch the ending of that car going over a cliff..... notice the similarity, or should i say notice the EXACT SAME CLIP?

See, I'd always miss something like that because I'd be off in the kitchen, getting another glass of Diet Coke. You know: 'Tell me when there's some more dialogue, I'll be back.' ;D

Yup, he'd say, 'Rampart, this is fifty-one, request permission to transport, board and collar. Over.' Our Johnny knows a high-risk mechanism of injury when he sees one, eh?

Oh, what a good catch! I don't believe it -- maybe his wife put too much bleach in the wash!

Hey, but look, Mark's not the only one who apparently wears his watch to bed. Milt's got one on in that pic, too. Or maybe he was already getting up and half dressed when he heard the shots from the gatehouse.

How about every time you see the coyote on the highway, you'll see a tiny glimpse of the cops on his tail, even though he's not being pursued.
And the obvious stunt doubles they use. clearly you can tell it's not dhk or bk.

Seems to me they changed DHK's stunt double later to a bulkier guy, but BK always had the squatty guy with the gorilla arms.

Do all LAPD officers wear white socks? Not if they're caught at it. Dark blue or black socks ONLY! Tch, tch, tch.

Okay, here's another one. Whenever they show DHK actually driving the coyote his head sticks out, but during close shots when he's in the car with the judge or his head's well buried in the vehicle.

that was common back then... especially in a new series with a low budget (not sure if H&M had a low budget or not) but lots of times they will use similar footage if something already exists that will fit to save money..
the most obvious and blatant use of this is in the first season epsiode of knight rider called "Trust Doesnt Rust" its the first time you see the evil twin KARR... and when he goes off a cliff at the end of the episode, its a very obvious rehash of the end scene in the movie "the Car" where the car goes over a cliff... same footage and maybe even the same sound effects (not sure on this one though)
also i know for a fact, and this may be another blooper although hard to catch, but in the episode "the homecomming part 1" when the cop car goes into the ravine, its not a 1982? impala cop car like the one they show hardcastle driving, it actually appears to be a 70s mopar like a monaco or something like you see for a lot of rollovers and also prevelent in the dukes of hazzard...what does make it a bit more obvious is that while the clarence cop car is black and white, the one going into the ravine appears to be blue and white
you know what else i noticed??? i was just watching school for scandal again and with the exception of a few shots where a 78-79 cutlass supreme is used... the 1983 hurst olds pictured above is re used... and im pretty sure the same chrysler newport cop car as well...and this was when mccormick was driving the Vette (the only time i recall him ever driving it)
i wonder if they filmed both scenes the same day and just had DHK and brian keith change clothes and places in the vette and film the same scene over with the vette being chased by the olds instead of the olds being chased by the vette, as seen in the pilot
