I've started a new thread dedicated to episode foul-up and bloopers. This first cap is from "Mr. Hardcastle Goes To Washington". Mark had just stopped the attempted kidnapping of the Judge from his Washington, DC hotel. Take a close look at this picture...there are NO palm trees lining the streets in DC, Virginia, or Maryland!

There's supposedly an episode in season three where the boom microphone is clearly visible. Don't know which one, but Liz Tucker does. Also, in "Faster Heart", when Kiki crashes, everybody looks to the left, but the cars were running to their right. Maybe they were just averting their gazes from an accident!

Ok, here's one of my favorites....This scene is also from "Mr. Hardcastle Goes to Washington." Do my eyes deceive me? As Mark drives up to the hotel entrance, magically there's an extra Coyote waiting for him (on a flatbed car carrier) just in case he and the Judge need a spare! I gotta find out what hotel chain they use! - All I ever get is free mouthwash!

Yeah, nobody ever goes to car races to see crashes, heaven forbear. I'm [retty sure I've seen a mike shots in H&McC. Don't remember the episode. LML

There are palms also in "Ties My Father Sold me" when McC is being chased on foot by the baddies in what is proportedly Atlantic City.

Oh, yeah. I remember seeing that when we "did" that episode a few months ago on the other board. Sorry, L.M. I thought I'd posted about it, but hey! Even _I_ can't keep track of all the mistakes they make!

another blooper, from "the homecoming part 1"
although no screenshot persay... i guess i could take a capture of milton's invitation to his reunion, but anyway, since when is 1984-35 1939?
hardcastle states that him playing basketball "that was 35 years ago" oops milt, your math stinks, cause that would have been 1949, and if you graduated 35 years ago, that would mean you graduated high school at age 31 since you say in the pilot that your 66

Heck, we might need another board!

Huh. I haven't gotten to those episodes, but some of the best bloopers, if one can call them that, have come in the titles and the first episode! I don't have screen grabs, but I can't even count the number of times I saw DHK's stunt double (or just a regular stunt driver looking nothing like him) driving the Coyote. And sometimes they flipped the film to make the shots "fit" better (which had the unfortunate effect of flipping the Coyote logo backwards, and making it look like "Mark" was driving in England). And both show up in the opening titles, every episode! Kind of annoying, kind of funny... Couldn't see them for sure in the VHS copies, but can definitely see the bloopers on the DVDs.

Skidmark, Great post! I've only watched "Rolling Thunder" on the set so far, and I caught those same bloopers. (The "flip" of the picture with Mark and the steering wheel on the right is especially bad/funny).

I always laugh in RT where the judge is walking down to see Mark in prison and they show a close-up of his nasty old sneakers. But when they show him actually approaching the cell, he is wearing a different pair of newer sneakers.
And in that very same scene, Hardcastle gives Mark the file to look at and then takes it back through the bars a few seconds later. But when Mark turns around to lie down on the bunk, he has the file in his hands again.

More "bloopers": Just finished watching "The Crystal Duck," and I noticed the following: -When Teddy is sneaking into the gatehouse on the ladder, he is wearing black pants in the wide shots; but on the closeups, he is wearing regular blue jeans. -When Hardcastle dashes to the gatehouse after the alarm goes off, he is wearing blue pajama bottoms and sandals. But upon arriving at the gatehouse, we get a closeup of his feet: no pajama bottoms and dirty, untied sneakers. -When Quinlan's car flips over, we see a quick closeup of what's supposed to be him being jostled in the car. But instead of Quinlan (Nicolas Coster), it appears to be a shot of Robert Culp taken from "The Greatest American Hero" (another Cannell production, of course). -And, of course, the usual shots of stunt drivers (sometimes complete with obvious helmets). Like all of you, I love this show dearly, but I had forgotten how "sloppy" it could be. I guess before VCRs and, certainly, DVDs, became so prevalent, shows didn't think we'd notice such things! Great fun, though

Now that's low, not even from the same series? So, did it at least look like the same car? And how do they index the 'stock' footage for these things? Or do the post production guys just know the old episodes of the stuff they've worked on so well thay they can say, 'Oh, we did one of those a couple years ago, in GAH; grab me episode #23.' And, yeah, stuff that passed muster in the days before pause-and-rewind can really get raked over the coals now.
