Just to illustrate just how illiterate I am on the topic of Southern California: I never knew It got cold enough to wear turtlenecks not to mention "layers". I do like Mark ensemble in the beginning of this episode though... ;D

I've only been to LA in the winter once (and it was for Christmas, um, about 1994) and I remember standing up on the walkway outside Griffith Observatory in my shirtsleeves, enjoying the view, while my So. Cal. relative stood nearby, teeth chattering, wearing a jacket, and asking me if I please hadn't had enough of this foolishness and wouldn't I like to maybe go inside and warm up? I think it was 60. So, I think they do layer a bit when those of us from crueler climates would be reaching for the sunblock ;-) And this shows why everyone wants to live there: home.att.net/~station_climo/LACVMXMN.GIFIt's an appallingly temperate climate, but it does at least get jacket-worthy in the winter. Sometimes.

Am I nuts or is it slightly strange that McC's holding the jail phone in his left hand? The cord has to come across his body to do that and it's certainly not called for in the shot -- the right hand would've been a more obvious choice all 'round. Maybe he really is ambidextrous.
Very nice pix, by the way and thanks for sharing!

I don't think that qualifies as ambidexerity. I switch hands when my ear gets sore ;-) Hey, and Hardcastle's holding his in his left hand, too--course it makes more sense, the phone being on his left.
Two wrist-watch pics, though, and both right wrist again.

While I do think Mark/Danny have some ambidextrous abilities, I think in this case it was more a shot requiest from the director.

Well, fwiw, I almost always use the phone with my left hand, even though I'm right handed. Probably so that leaves me free to write notes, or whatever. But I find it very difficult to place the receiver up to my right ear.

I was wondering, would they really let Milt wear his Yankees hat? Would that go with his personal affects?

I've always wondered about watches and religious medals, once one is actually in prison, too, but not so hard that I let it get in the way of a good plot device. ;-) Around-the-neck jewelry would seem to be a probable no-no.

Oh, yeah, but this was Judge Hardcastle! If he wanted to wear a Santa suit, the guards would've just winked and nodded.

There's different restrictions between like the city or county lock-up/jail and a prison. And even in prison, generally when you first go in, you have nothing but standard issue garb, right down to your underwear. After so much time of 'good behavior' you start to get to have certain personal effects. The biggest one is sneakers, rather that the prison issue work boot. But watches and chains, that depends on the security level of the prison too...the higher the security...the less you get.
