Yeah, one watching for the hair, then one more for the plot ;-) plottt? puh..lot? plote? nope, i dont get it. i am so supremely unplotty, alot of the episodes i've watched, you'd just have no idea i'd actually watched them, because i'll be d**ned if i can remember what happened. i just remember 'that was the one with the hug', 'that was the one where Mark got in a fight', etc etc. It's awful. My shallow nature knows no bounds. Yeah, well, the problem is, sometimes ( sometimes?) the plots don't make a whole lot of sense. I just gotta keep telling myself they were working under extreme time constraints and all that. So you're not shallow, that's just your higher logic functions shielding you from the inexplicable criminal behavior that underpins most of the episodes. And even when the premises are goofy, the guys are always fun to watch.

Yes, i have a friend who pays attention to plot and she's always coming up with these justifications to make her feel better about crapy episodes, lol. Trust me though, i really am shallow (it's great!), i'm happy as long as there are a few explosions, some guy with long-ish hair, some man-hugging and some whumping. So infact, my ideal plot would be some dreaded serial-hugger terrorising people with bear-hugs, the solution to which is all the good-guys growing their hair long and then blowing up stuff. Perfect.

Well, the bears were doing the hugging, and the only thing that got blown up was the inflatable raft, but the good guys really did grow their hair out long ;-)

Well, I've been sort of busy and such the past few days, but I have to say that I have been enjoying this thread greatly; it's been amusing me immensely. And, pheral, I have to admit, I might share some of the same traits of your friend; danged if I don't try and find a reason for some of the goofy things they do sometimes. For me, though, it's easier to overlook plot problems than timeline issues. Don't even get me started on that.

Or, worse, the plot-what plot stories!

Aha, luckily (again) i have even less of an issue with these! Not only do i miss all the plot in an episode, i also instantly forget anything i might have gathered once the ep is over. My memory's awful, so they could have Mark graduating law school five years before he first applied and i'd not notice.

Hey Liz, where's that new avatar from? I was trying to work it out, because he seems to be staring right at the camera which would indicate a posed shot... but somehow i can't imagine him doing a random posed shirtless photo!! Whats-a-goin-on?

This one is actually from this site, believe it or not. I wasn't quite sure what episode it's from, but our fearless leader may be able to provide that information.

I ain't no fearless leader, but I can tell you that shot's from "Rio" and it's when he's planning to do a little poolside tanning. Remember the scene in the hotel room where he says "I'm from Florida; I never burn"?

Remember the scene in the hotel room where he says "I'm from Florida; I never burn"? Duh! <<hand slaps forehead>> How could I have forgotten? As a Floridian, it was my favorite quote. Right up there with "Boys burns, men tan."

Thankyou, i had completely forgotten that (i'm not keen on 'awkward' type stuff, so him burning was just kinda annoying for me, never watched those scenes again). I will have to watch it again now though, to see when he stares right at the camera! Or i guess it coulda been a behind-the-scenes shot. Hmm.

Haven't seen it in a bit, but if memory serves, it isn't a direct angle, it's a mirror shot. What we get to see is Mark primping and preening. I think. Could be sheer fantasy on my part. And, yeah, I'm with you on the awkward thing. There are a couple of moments throughout the series that I just label 'cheap laughs at Mark's expense' that I've never been overly fond of. The burn would be one of them. Blundering through the dinner party in School for Scandal would be another. Probably more that escape me at the moment.

I still believe he was intentionally being a doob at the dinner party for one of two reasons, or maybe both at the same time.
A) Poke fun at the whole overly-sophisticated set-up B) Make sure he never got dragged to another shindig like it
And I thought the tiny scene with the fish was priceless. "He likes you." The judge is starting to enjoy twitting Mark with food already.
