Two notes of interest about season three in case you want to pass it on to Hardcastle fans. When HC&M originally went into syndication in 1986/87, it was shown twice a day by CBN (Christian Broadcasting Network, which is no longer around but I THINK it is now, or was absorbed by TBN, don't know). Anyways, they showed two episodes a day and my sister and I watched it all the time, and here are two pieces of trivia:
1) At the end of Faster Heart, they cut the last scene/show to make it look like Kiki left McCormick again, and that his heart was broken, with a close up of his face with his eyes closed, instead of adding the end of the scene/original ending where she comes out in his shirt because they spent the night together, and it was goofy.
2) CBN NEVER showed the If You Could See What I See episode, ever, and although we were original fans of the show on ABC, for the longest time my sister and I didn't know this episode existed because we missed it initially, and it wasn't until a few years later when the show was also on syndication on ABC, NBC, whatever, that we saw this episode, and were blown away because we had seen every other episode about 7 times each.
My guess is CBN cut out anything concerning pre-marital sex or seeing into the future. They also cut out some of the swear words. Oh those nutty Christian censors!!

We moved right when the show was going into syndication, so I missed some of the episodes on CBN. But then it came out in "regular" syndication, meaning it was satellite-broadcast to any station in the country that wanted to show it. It was heaven! I got complete, uncut, uncensored episodes every Sunday and Monday and with pristine video quality. That was the source for those famous copies that were floating around before the DVDs were issued. But I sure do remember CBN versions. It was so annoying to see people's mouths moving, with the baby swear word missing.

CBN is now The Family Channel, not PAX (which is actually called ION now)
