What does the "C" in Milton C. Hardcastle stand for?
Does anyone know?

Long ago, when dinosaurs still walked the earth (around 1986 or '87), a fanfic writer declared it to be Caleb. I didn't like that, so I did a story a couple of years ago where it turned out to be Crawford. So, you get to pick which you like best and take sides in the forthcoming Battle of the Middle Names.

And, no offense to either Owl or the previous author (was that Liz?), but I still don't believe we know the answer. Charles, Clayton, Cameron, Clifford, Christopher? Cornelius, Cornwall, Chance, Calvin, Clyde? It could be anything. One of these days, in some story or another, I'm probably going to have to decide. And when I do, I think I might be leaning toward Carlyle. ;D

Oh, no. If you pick another one is _has_ to be Clayton to forge yet another link between him and the man who "was" the Lone Ranger!

OMG Owl. I never thought of that! Then again the judge was from Arkansas, so I'm thinking it has to be kinda Southern/Hillbilly-ish. Clayton fits the bill. Maybe we should do a poll...

I thought that would make a very nice synergy. But, alas, I simply do not like the phonetics of it all. Milton Clayton? Nope, it just doesn't flow for me, sorry to say.
