If you could have a sequel (or follow-on) to any one episode, which would it be? An addition to, or expansion of, "You Don't See the One that Gets You" with the judge driving them home? Or how about more of ""Flying Down to Rio"? Or maybe the rest of the game at the end of "Poker Night" with McCormick's date dealing them fast and light?
Vote early, vote often!

Oh, so many possibilities, here. I guess I'll start with "When I Look Back On All the Things." What was up with Melinda having the Judge arrested for car theft? That doesn't even make any sense! Even the FBI guys said they (Mark & Milt) were "free to ride it - until we need it." ? I want to know what happened next....Did the motorcycle cop say, "April Fools!!!" ? Did Milt resist arrest because of the sheer ridiculousness? If they were hauled downtown, I want to hear the jail-cell banter in THAT one!!! Ohhhh, Mark would NOT shut up, now would he??? It would take a LONG time before Milt would live THAT down!

There was a fic written years ago about that -- McCormick refuses (at first) to post bail for the judge, who's banker's out of town. It was amusing, but I'd love to see a whole episode encompassing that, the scenes at home over who was right about Melinda in the first place, Hardcastle's appearance in court to get teh charges dropped, the FBI's enjoyment of the situation. That's a great idea, Amy! Now, somebody do it!

The Homecoming would be my choice. What happened on the trip home, did Mark ever hook up with Christy again, where were the Aunts.

I would vote for the trip home from 'You Don't See the One That Gets you'. In fact, all trips home would be fic fodder, in my opinion. We've got San Rio, Atlantic City, Washington, Oregon, Canary Creek, Arkansas, where ever it was they went to judge that beauty contest, and the Judge's/Mobster's convention.
Have I missed any?

Yep, the rides home have scads of potential. I wouldn't mind seeing them either. Don't forget the flight home from way south of the border!

Now call me greedy, but I'd like to see a "follow-on" to "Strangle Hold." I know we already got to see a neat moment where Mark talks to the Judge about Kate on the beach....but I'd like to see if Mark opens up anymore after the Judge leaves him to his thoughts...Maybe he goes back into the house and feels like talking a bit more. Maybe he's too quiet, so the Judge schedules some "down-time." Maybe he and the Judge take a fishing trip - uninterrupted. (I loved the fishing trip in "Long Ago Girl." I just hate that it was interrupted.)....So there's another one: "The Long Ago Girl"...After the Judge leaves Jane at the station, he and McCormick resume their fishing trip. They can even invite Glenn Miller!

Here's a dumb thought...Now that it's been 20 years since McCormick's Bar & Grill Cemetery was closed, do you think it's open for business? No, seriously...what's the time-frame on that? McCormick said it "could take years" to sort out the whole mess. Wouldn't the bar eventually end up back in the hands of our favorite duo (and the absent father)? If the bar was released within a couple of years, McCormick would have time to graduate law school and get his feet wet in the land of lawyering. While McCormick pays a few dues, Milt could bulldoze the property and set up the Law Clinic on the very same spot! (Did someone put that scenario in a fic somewhere?)

Why bulldoze it? It could make people feel more comfortable to visit a lawyer in a bar setting rather than in an office.

Oh, yeah! The clients would be much more relaxed and the atmosphere so much pleasanter. Besides, it gives a whole new meaning to being called to the bar!

Now that it's been 20 years since McCormick's Bar & Grill Cemetery was closed, do you think it's open for business? ) Oh, yes, but why not just run it under that name. I love it. It would give a whole new meaning to 'one of our favorite haunts', or even 'a stiff drink', 'dead drunk', and 'getting plastered'. Hey, did anyone ever address the issue of just how bad dead bodies smell? I mean, heck if something small and furry gets under your porch and expires, the stench is astonishingly persistant, and presumably all the corpses weren't interred at the same time. You'd think the wafting would be quite impressive.

That's a real point. After a bit, the bugs and um, natural processes will take care of the aroma, right? But if you keep adding new members, there's always going to be something to notice. Unless they stopped a few months before and the place was drafty and . . . oh, phoo. I'm tired of being an apologist for writers! Good point, LM! Yes, there should've been a smell!

"The Homecoming". This episode was kinda weird. They built up this whole falling in love thing with Mark & Christy, and they even had sex, and then they just abondoned it once they found out Hardcastle was alive. What was that all about?
"Really Neat Cars and Guys With a Sense of Humor". Howard Kaye could've been a great recurring character for the show.
"Ties My Father Sold Me"/"McCormick's Bar and Grill". Sonny Daye did make two appearences, but I would've liked to have seen more of him. He was a good character, and there was a great and sometimes heart aching dynamic created between the Judge, Mark & Sonny. Here's Sonny, Mark's biological father, and here's Hardcastle, the man who actually treats him like a father should, and they're clashing together. Great angle there.
"One of the Girls From Accounting". Similar to "The Homecoming", this was another weird romance. It seemed Mark had finally found the girl of his dreams. He realized with the other California beach babes he went after before, that they had no depth, and that he really needed brains in a woman. He found it. He seemed in love. And this is the only episode we see her.
"It Could've Been Worse... She Could've Been A Welder". Hardcastle's niece would've been a could recurring character. The actress/character had good chemistry with the guys. Plus the whole being with Mark behind Hardcastle's back could've been real fun.
"Faster Hearts". Whatever happened with Mark & Kiki's renewed romance?
"The Yankee Clipper". Another continuation with Bill Bauer would've been great.
