Looking for anyone with pictures from World of Wheels car shows or any car shows back in the 80's where the S1 Coyote made an appearance. Any electronic copies would be greatly appreciated. The documentation on these cars are scarce and I'm believing that mine might be a World of Wheels show car. It's the only one so far with a gold Barris Customs badge on it's panel. Some may claim that he didn't put a badge on his cars which I guess is true unless it was something special. Also, I don't think Barris doesn't sell these emblems like t shirts to the public unless a vehicle was built by his shop. Does anyone know if the S1 cars were pulled from the show and then turned to show car duty after the Delorean took its place? How many became show cars? Where did the S1 cars go? From the Manta site, there are only two listed. The S1 Coyote I purchase has been owned since 1990. Any information we can compile together will help this site account for the cars. So far: Iowa 1 Closeup Delorean Coyote 1 Jump Car Delorean 1 S1 Coyote

The principal photography car was purchased from Stephan Cannell productions in 1990 by Jim Rodman abd is supposedly 1 of 4 built for the show. This Coyote is was believed to be the only original vesion left remaining. All the others were believed to be used as "donors" for the the DeLorean replacements. Several 'rollers' were built for promotional use in car shows though. I believe your car is one of these because of the slight differences in your car verses the one on the show and the Coyote in the 1986 Hot Rod Show World Annual are the same, mainly the dash, the pinstriping and the side mirrors. I am not sure if yours is the one in the annual though. Your Coyote's pinstriping is slightly different around the headlight covers, although it follows the same lines, and your light covers appear to have lines 'etched' on them and the Annual's Coyote do not. I own the Coyote 'replica' on the bottom of the main page on this site. It looks different now, but still in progress. If you have been the owner of this for a while I believe you live very close to me. Shoot me an email if you'd like. x_coyote@hotmail.com -Bill

dine73ssi think i have emailed you some time ago beacuse your car is listed on the mantacars website as "One of the original Hardcastle & McCormick TV cars". The problem is the pinstriping of the orange stripe is above the headlights in your car and below the headlights in the show. this is the case for every single scene. i know it because i have made a compilation of all coyote scenes of S1 and in all of these the stripe was below the headlight. of course i do not speak of the windscreenwiper and the strange headlightcovers of your car. on the other hand you have the original steering wheel and the seats seem to be the same as in the show. i dont understand it.

Sure the pinstripping is different and headlight covers have stripes on it. These have now been removed and changed back to the TV look. The wiper has been removed as well. It needed to be installed to get it through registration. You have pointed out some small details that can be changed back with no problems. It has been through a few owners including Barris Kustoms since 1986. If you still don't understand. I can't help you. Maybe someone will build the replica with all the things you are looking for and call it the real one. This Coyote is what it is: Coyote#1, Rolling Thunder "low rider" beauty car.
