It's been a while since I wrote anything. The Mark and the mouse idea got me interested in writing H&M stories again. I published my take on the mouse molest today.

Here's my newest story, called "Debriefings". In the beginning, the cases (and shootouts, kidnappings, etc.) come pretty quick, one situation on top of the next. I just thought Mark might have a bit of a hard time getting used to it all, without a break. Every week a new adventure? And I loved that line from Mark when the guy threw him the shovel and asked him to dig his own grave. I just thought it deserved a story, so here it is. www.fanfiction.net/s/10096247/1/Debriefings

Here is my latest story, called "Alternate Ending: Hotshoes. Did you ever notice that when Mark helps the judge out of the car after the crash, he can't seem to take his hands away from him? He seems really worried about the judge and keeps a tight hold until he's very sure Hardcastle is okay. Of course they never talk about how much they care, but it shows in what they do. I think that is one of the sweetest scenes in the show, so I decided to write a story where the judge actually did get hurt. I hope you like it! www.fanfiction.net/s/10131091/1/Alternate-Ending-Hotshoes

Thank you for the new stories. I've read most of the stories on the FanFiction Archive many times, so it is always wonderful to have new fic added to the site. Hopefully, some of the other writers who have contributed stories in the past will get the inspiration to write again!

It always bothered me that Mark couldn't find a job... any job? in the episode "You and the Horse You Rode in On". Another thing that bothered me was that Mark fell for everything David Waverly said. I mean, he did presentations to sell a product that he had never seen? I just didn't think that was right. It also bothered me the way Hardcastle was answering the phone, sounding so self that McCormick wouldn't be able to make it on his own. But, in spite of those things, I like the episode. So, I decided to write a plot line for it that goes off in a slightly different direction. The story starts after Mark has left and after he's found a job. I know it was for plot purposes, but why didn't McCormick apply for a job racing cars, or as a mechanic, or selling used cars or something realistic?

I thought that finding any paying job as soon as possible would be highest on McCormick's list of things to do. and he could leave that job for something better as soon as it became available. That's why I made his second job at the track, so he would know about potential opportunities that might come along. I figured that driving a racecar would be a hard job to get whenever you needed it. He could only get those jobs when they needed someone. Thanks for the question!!

I've just posted the first chapter of my latest fanfiction story at the address below. As you can tell from the name, it's my attempt to fill in the many missing scenes from the episode, "If You Could See What I See". It contains just the slightest bit of the supernatural. I think that since the writers of the story had Millie right on the money about most of the things she saw, and foretold, that it would be okay for me to include a little supernatural bent to my story too. Chapter 1 is up, but don't worry, all the chapters are done and I'll post them very soon. I never start posting anything until the entire story is finished, that avoids unfinished stories being left up for long periods of time. I respect the readers too much to do that. I tried to make this story a little different from the other stories of these missing scenes. I hope this story is well received www.fanfiction.net/s/10574615/1/From-the-Ravine-to-the-Cookies-Missing-Scenes-from-If-You-Could-See

I'd just like to say that I am so grateful for the wonderful fan fics for this fandom. I had almost forgotten how much I enjoyed this show, and now that I've bought the DVD's and I'm making my way through them, I have to say that the fiction offerings just take the concept and the characters to a new level. In particular, I've lately been captivated by Voyager Tip's Ravine-to-Cookies, and practically anything penned by L.M. Lewis. But it's all great, and I sure hope it keeps coming.

Unfortunately, we've tailed off in the fic department, but there's a large archive waiting for you to discover. Don't forget to the the Favorites List of your own favorite authors to see which ones they like -- and here's hoping we do get some more new fic in the near future!
