Nope, I don't have it. I've had someone who was on the show tell me he does, and he's also respecting Victoria's wishes by not allowing it be be shown. (Drat it!)

I finally have the S3 DVD, and I would like to know how to install the insert into the package.

Okay, I keep hearing about this DVD insert problem, and can someone please explain it to me what the problem with the inserts are? I'm under the impression that they either didn't include them, or made a mistake on them.I have seasons 1-2 and was thinking about buying season 3, but if there's a problem with the inserts, I might reconsider buying it. I don't have a printer, so printing the stuff out will look real cheap. I'm not going to pay money for the dvds so that I can print out the inserts myself.
I do want to see season 3 badly. I just don't see why VEI doesn't fix this problem. I bought season 2 first because I couldn't find season 1 in stores anywhere, and I was kind of disappointed with it. I know they're a canada only release, but even in Canada, they're kind of hard to find. And I noticed on the first few episodes, the theme song on season 2, looks like the tape got eaten a bit, you see a line go across the screen for a split second, and I thought it looks so cheap! And another problem I had was on season 1. The booklet that lists the episodes, it had a few blank pages, and didn't list i think most of the episodes on discs 3-4.
Other than that I had no problems with the sets. I wasn't all that impressed with the first few episodes of season 2. Loved the theme song Back To Back, but hated the countrified version. Sounds like a cat in heat! Wasn't a fan of the DRIVE theme song either, but it's growing on me now that I got season 1, and watched it all. It's kinda catchy, but I still prefer Back To Back, cuz it tells more of the story of the show.
But anyway, that's all I wanted to say for now. I was just curious what the exact problem with the Season 3 dvds are. If it's just a problem with the booklet, it's not a big deal, but the inserts, I'd be hesitant to buy it because I am a big fan of artwork.

Hi Umbero, and welcome. The problem is that Season 3 did not include a booklet or "liner notes". Unlike the season 1 and 2 packaging, the DVD case itself is 1 single clamshell with a center piece of plastic that flaps back and forth.... I bought it because I'm I die hard fan. I highly recommend it, but then again...I'm biased.

ohhhhhhhh ok, so it's just the booklet that's missing? That doesn't look that bad at all. I would buy that. Thanks for the pic, I really appreciate it. I kept hearing about inserts, and thought they meant the actual cover art on the inner cases, know what i mean? Something about them being too big, or not being there at all. So thanks for clarifying that for me. Could you actually post a pic of the other side of the dvd case? the side with the artwork?
To me it's not a loss at all that the booklet isn't included. I actually make my own episode lists, and who wrote them, etc on my pc. So I'll still buy the set if the artwork is there.
thanks again

What happened was this. VEI had a nice little insert ready to go on the inside of the package, but the printer messed up and the set was released without it. If the demand for season three is large enough, they'll do another run and the insert will be included in that one.
However, since VEI had agreed to put a little blurb on the insert about the STAR for Brian, they sent me the insert as an attachment and gave me permission to distribute it to anyone who wants it. I still have it, so anyone who'd like to see the listed episodes, a couple of photos, some trivia notes, and just generally have what the set was supposed to contain, just email me and I'll send it straight on to you.
Oh, and VEI apologizes. They're really not pleased themselves, after putting work into it, to have a piece left out of one of their packages. And they did bring us the show on DVD, which I _never_ thought would happen!

Ok, I just wanna say thanks for the link to those pics. I was a bit worried because when someone says an INSERT is missing, I consider an Insert to be the cover artwork. And I wouldn't buy something if it had no artwork because then it's just like buying a bootleg in my eyes. But since that's not the issue here, I'll be glad to pick the thing up. I don't consider it much of a loss with them not including the bookley, photos and all that. But some people probably want that. It don't matter to me, cuz all I want is the episodes.
But the issue with the cover art being too big, that is easily fixable. I would just cut it to fit, no biggie. So thanks guys for all the info, and clearing up my confusion with the set. Now I will gladly buy it, and finish off the series.

Okay, it's a PDF file, so you should be able to open (and print it out) by using an Adobe file reader. Click on the attachment and it should say something like "save as" or "open in..." and give you options on how to view it. Once you've got it on screen, you might even be able to just hit "print screen" if you've got a printer connected to your computer. Let us know if you still have problems.

Ok, it saved it to the desk top but Adobe says it's not a supported file type or wasn't correctly decoded.

Hmm. Okay, I admit it, I'm stumped. We've never had this problem before. Email me again off-line and I'll re-send it. Maybe there was a problem in the transmission that is now showing up as a defect in the file. Anyone else have a theory?
