Okay, that's not my area of responsibility, but I think the labels come in, well . . . label shape and you print what you want on them. Then you peel the backing off them and stick 'em on. The hard part is probably getting them on straight, with no wrinkles.

Hi owlley, There are at least three different ways to label disks: 1. You print the label in your laser or ink printer, peel it and stick it on the disk. 2. You have a thermal printer in which you can print straight onto the disk. But you need blank media which has been especially coated for this. 3. You use 'LightScribe'; again you need special media, plus a CD/DVD writer that supports it. But this time the same laser that burns the data onto your disk is used to 'burn' the label onto the 'back' side of the disk. Of course, you can always use the old 'trusted' method ... write manually onto the disk with a permanent pen. It does not look as neat and pretty as any properly printed label, but it does the job. But then again, who would want to paint the portraits of BK + DHK onto all those disks ...

The zines are put out on Lightscribe discs, which are specially coated so that the image can simply be lasered onto the disc. The hard part is finding a decent picture to support a hole-sized space!
